I want to try to give myself more credit as I do these kinds of things. I tend to focus solely on where I fail, or where I could have – should have – done better. And I start this shame spiral of how terrible I am if I make a mistake, and that I’m not worth making the effort because I was dumb to have made that mistake in the first place and yadda yadda yadda.
In Happier, one of the techniques used is to write down 3 things, every day, that made you happy. Maybe I can do the same for changing my outlook on my performance. Three things I did well today.
Worth a shot.
Honestly, I’m starting to feel like an old crabby lady. The time is ripe for new tactics.
